That’s my pitch. It’s the term of engagement for all companies I work for. It’s born out of doing exciting, quality work in an inspiring sector.
I work directly at board level helping teams develop and transform digital strategies from initial business planning through to project management and implementation.
My core areas of focus are eCommerce (platform selection, site optimisation, trading, marketing and mobile) and the social web (social commerce and the management of communities)
As an independent consultant my clients have included Liberty, McArthurGlen, Value Retail, FirstQuench, Naked Wines, Octopus, Rawk, as well as consultancy with eCommerce specialists Biglight.
Prior to consulting, I was a Senior Planner at Tesco.com, Head of eCommerce at The Wine Society, Relationship Marketing Manager at Laithwaites and Group Marketing Manager at Auto Trader.
I’m finding myself increasingly active as a speaker at industry and corporate events. Recent engagements include: Fresh Egg’s “Internet Marketing in a Recession Workshop” at the Magic Circle; “Luxury and Social Commerce” (in partnership with Silksearch) at One Alfred Place; and keynotes for the Sports Trade Think Tank and the Outdoor Trade Think Tank.
I’ve also run in-company sessions with Sweatshop, HF Holidays and The Stag Buying Group, and Christian Louboutin.

Outside of my digital life I’m a committed oenophile. A self confessed wine snob I studied for an Advanced Certificate in Wine and Spirits (scraping a pass. Phew) and write my own irreverent vinous blog - wineoftheweek.co.uk.
